Threebrook Pack License Agreement
Publisher: Zhuhai Threebrook Technology Co., Ltd. (“we”) Contact: support@threebrook.com
Please read this agreement before installing or using Threebrook Pack (“the software”). By installing or using it, you agree to this agreement; if you don’t agree, please don’t install or use it. If this translation differs from the Chinese version, the Chinese version prevails.
1. License
- We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software on computers used by you or your organization, including for commercial and production use.
- The software is currently free of charge.
- All rights not expressly granted are reserved by us. The open-source components listed in section 3 are under their own licenses, and nothing here limits your rights under those licenses.
2. Restrictions
You may not: (1) reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software except as permitted by law; (2) publish a modified version under the name Threebrook Pack or 三溪缩影, or with Threebrook’s names or icons; (3) rent out or resell the software; (4) use the software for unlawful purposes.
The open-source decoder iis-decode is provided under the BSD-3-Clause license and is not subject to this section.
3. Open-source components
The software includes the following third-party components, provided under their own licenses; copyright remains with their authors. The full license texts are installed with the software in the 许可证 (Licenses) folder in the program folder.
| Component | Used for | License |
|---|---|---|
| CharLS | JPEG-LS lossless coding | BSD-3-Clause |
| zstd | Non-image data and fallback compression | BSD-3-Clause |

We don’t use the names of these authors to endorse or promote the software without their written permission.
4. Open formats
A .iisz package is a standard ZIP file (stored, not compressed) that any unzip tool can open. The .iis files inside store images with ISO-standard JPEG-LS coding and can be restored to the original files with the open-source decoder iis-decode. After you uninstall or stop using the software, you can still get your files back this way.
5. Privacy
The software doesn’t go online, collects no information and reads and writes only the files you select. See the Privacy Policy.
6. Updates
The software doesn’t check for or download updates. New versions are published at pack.threebrook.com, and it’s up to you whether to install them.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
- The software is provided “as is”. It checks SHA-256 on every compression and extraction and reports an error on a mismatch, but it can’t prevent data loss from causes outside the software, such as failing storage, other programs changing files, or power loss. Keep separate backups of important data, and make sure the package is safely stored before ticking “Delete the originals”.
- How much files shrink depends on the images; we don’t guarantee any particular compression ratio.
- To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from the use of, or inability to use, the software.
8. Termination
If you breach this agreement, the license ends automatically and you must stop using and uninstall the software. Sections 3, 4, 7 and 9 survive termination.
9. Governing law and disputes
This agreement is governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China (excluding conflict-of-law rules). Disputes arising from it shall first be settled by friendly negotiation; failing that, they shall be submitted to the competent people’s court where the publisher is located.
